PRE - PRODUCTION
Two of my inspirations for creating this short film were the short story “The Colour Out of Space” by H.P. Lovecraft & the T.V. series “The Twilight Zone” by Rod Serling.
I only had a little more than two weeks to finish this short film, so I completed the script in record time as it only took me about 5 hours.
To achieve this I created a playlist with songs that help me to concentrate.
After finishing the script I started looking for the story’s setting, but I could not find any that I liked, so I kept looking and looking, but I still could not find that one specific place. Fortunately, my cinematography teacher was helping me to find the scenario for the story, &, seeing that I could not find one, he took me to a video studio. That was where I found something that I liked. However, there was still a problem: the setting I needed had to be an apartment, not a studio, so after my university classes ended, I started rewriting almost the whole script to make the story match this new setting. A process that took me around 5 hours.

PRODUCTION
The recording of the short film began on November 1st, 2022, the schedule of my team & I was to start filming at 7:40 pm & finish at 10:00 pm.
Later, at home, I was in charge of checking that all the recordings were correct, a job that usually took me around an hour & a half.
I only had 10 days to shoot all the scenes of the short film.

POST - PRODUCTION
The post-production phase began on November 11th & was divided into three phases: visual effects, audio, & montage.
I was in charge of the montage & was the supervisor of the other teams.
Three people were working on the visual effects, one on the audio, & me on the montage. The process that took most of the time was the visual effects; it took almost a week to finish everything.
Once the visual effects were done, the audio process started, & it primarily consisted of matching the audio with the video (this is due to most of the audio being recorded separately or found on the internet).
Once the audio was completely done, the montage process started, which mainly consisted of making a few enhancements to audio & video, to later place them in a single video file ready to be rendered.
